Vy Lam

Undergraduate Intern

Vy (she/her) is a first year Master's Student at San Francisco State University, studying Biomedical Sciences: Concentration in Biotechnology and undergoing a full-time research fellowship under the California Institute for Regenerative Medicine (CIRM) Bridges program. She holds an undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences from the University of California, Davis. After graduating, Vy worked at Mawi DNA Technologies as a Research Scientist in the R&D team. Her focus was on optimizing the downstream process of room temperature sample collection devices, aiming to eliminate the need for a cold chain in transportation. In the Sneddon Lab, she is interested in learning more about stem cell engineering and type 1 diabetes. Outside of the lab, Vy enjoys traveling with her family and friends.
