Joe Germino
Graduate Student
Joe Germino grew up in New Jersey and moved to St. Louis for undergrad at Washington University where he majored in Biology with a minor in Bioinformatics. During undergrad, he worked in Dr. Sandeep Tripathy’s lab studying mechanisms of activation-induced NK cell tolerance. Joe is currently a graduate student in the Biomedical Sciences program at UCSF working jointly in the Gardner and Ntranos labs applying quantitative methods to study how self- and meta-tissue are represented to the adaptive immune system for immune self-education using single-cell multiomics. Outside of the lab, Joe spends most of his time biking, climbing, and hiking in and around San Francisco.
