Helen Chen
Associate Specialist
Helen graduated from the University of Rochester as an undergraduate in 2020 with a major in Biomedical Engineering. During her undergraduate, she studied how different UV filters influence Ayrl Hydrocarbon Receptor Signaling pathway in Professor Delouise's lab. Then, she completed a Master in UC Berkeley with a focus on engineering hyaluronic acid hydrogels for cell delivery and therapeutic applications in Professor Kumar's lab.
In the Tang's lab, she is currently studying human and mouse regulatory T cell therapy and immune tolerance in Type 1 Diabetes and also working on developing GVHD models. Outside of work, Helen enjoyed dancing Zumba, hiking and exploring different food and cuisines.
