Adult and Pediatric Clinics for Type 1 and 2 Diabetes

ADULT

The UCSF Diabetes Clinic at Parnassus provides specialized care for diabetes mellitus. It is part of the Diabetes Center at UCSF, which is one of a handful of diabetes research centers in the country, named by the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases. As part of this designation, the center receives federal funding for research.

Diabetes Clinic at San Mateo is a specialized satellite location for patients on the Peninsula to access top-ranked UCSF care. 

PEDIATRIC

Our At Risk for T1D Clinic, we care for patients at high risk of developing type 1 diabetes, or T1D. By detecting early signs of T1D and taking proactive measures, we can slow its progression and delay the need for insulin therapy.

At our UCSF Pediatric Diabetes Clinic, our team of experts--including endocrinologists, certified diabetes educators, registered dietitians, social workers, child psychologists and child life specialists--cares for children with type 1 and type 2 diabetes from birth to age 21, in six locations spread across the Bay Area
