Emily McGrath

Emily McGrath is a PhD student in the in the Metabolic Biology program at UC Berkeley. Originally from Reston, VA, she got her B.S. in Nutritional Sciences at Cornell University before moving west. In the Valdearcos Lab, Emily investigates the gut microbiome-microglia axis in the context of diet-induced neuroinflammation. Outside of lab, Emily enjoys reading, traveling, and exploring San Francisco by bicycle.
