Anita Qualls
Graduate Student
Anita Qualls is an MD PhD student at UCSF co-mentored by Jay Gardner and Tippi Mackenzie. She is originally from Atlanta, Georgia and received a B.S. in Biology from the University of Georgia. During her gap year as a Churchill Scholar, Anita received an M. Phil in Medical Studies from the University of Cambridge, UK for her work investigating decidual natural killer cells with Dr. Francesco Colucci. During her PhD, Anita hopes to elucidate the role of Autoimmune Regulator (Aire)-expressing cells in early life. Anita’s clinical interests include neonatology and immunology.
