Abby Steinmetz

Abby recently graduated with a B.S in Nutritional Science from University of California, Berkeley. She is from Tustin, California and grew up with a great appreciation for food and cooking. While in undergrad, she studied abroad in Barcelona and joined a polyphenol lab at University de Barcelona researching the health benefits of olive oil. In her last year at Berkeley she was a member of the Moore Lab studying nuclear hormone receptors and has developed a deep passion for the interconnection of nutrition and hormones. Ultimately, she is planning on attending medical school in the Fall of 2025 and wants to use her background in nutrition as a lens through which to understand healthcare in the U.S.
