I graduated with a B.A. from Vanderbilt University. I am interested in understanding the mechanisms of cell state transition. During my undergraduate and postbaccalaureate studies, I worked as a research assistant at Dr. Vivian Gama's Lab. We tried to investigate the role of mitochondrial dynamics and cristae dynamics in neurodevelopment. Now, as a Developmental and Stem Cell Biology graduate student in Sneddon Lab at UCSF, I plan to explore the spatio-temporal dynamics and fate specification of human endocrine progenitor cells, with the hope of improving stem cell-derived beta cell generation and advancing stem cell therapy for type 1 diabetes.
