The philosophy of the Core is to provide access to islet samples in a highly efficient and economical fashion. Recharge rates for the isolation of mouse islets; human islets; Cellular and Islet Transplantation; Islet Insulin secretion-Glucose Challenge Assay; and Insulin ELISAs are approved by the UCSF Recharge Office and are available by contacting Greg Szot (email@example.com).
All UCSF and affiliated laboratories pay the same rates. As UCSF subsidizes facilities maintenance, external academic researchers, and external, commercial researchers must pay an additional 26% overhead charge. Please contact this Core for enquiries.
Portions of equipment use by members of the Diabetes Endocrinology Research Center (DERC) are paid for by a Center grant. Center members are reminded to acknowledge DERC Center grant (P30 DK063720) contributions with ‘This research was supported by grants x, y from NIH P30 DK063720”.
